"If you’re struggling with understanding concepts, how to score full marks of open -ended questions, and need better resources to support your learning, then TBT is for you.
i scored consistent low F9s through sec 3, and no matter how much i studied, i never saw much improvement. within the first 6 months of joining TBT, i went from 30% to close to 65% (doubling my scores)
as someone who was bonded to many other commitments ands duties, i had very little time to fully dedicate to studying, but i managed to get a lot done in the few hours i did have — with much help from TBTs flashcards and notes!! the flashcards were so portable and convenient, i did them everywhere, on the way to school, tuition etc. the notes (esp the commonly asked questions) were super helpful because i could just practice questions and memorise key words so easily without having to sort through countless papers. all the prep work of studying was done for me so all i had to do was use the resources. it saved me so much time and with less than a year to Os, this was beyond helpful.
classes were super engaging, there are small breaks in between, which really helped me focus better, lessons annotations were always sent after class so i was always focused on listening instead of copying down things (this is unbelievable helpful in aiding understanding)
welfare is crazy good too!! on top of the quality snacks, TBT really makes sure you are cared for, encouraging notes in mailboxes, the teachers always text to check in on your learning, plus 24/7 support is available on whatsapp!

Lessons are always engaging and interactive as well with the kahoots, mindmaps, mini storytimes and videos to help deepen our understanding!! ALSO the CAQs in the notes r SO good IM A BIG FAN!!!! Helped me so much especially during Os. The crash course clips r also concise and helps u identify which r the important concepts to know. And there was a step by step guide to study bio utilising the resources in tbt like r u kidding me that’s such a lifesaver. There are so many other valuable resources in TBT such as the exam papers, practical tips, answer schemes, DIAGRAMS (they r actually more memorable than the tb ones IMO) but if I dive deeper this is gonna be more of an essay than a review 😋 just join TBT!! "Thanks to TBT I got A1 for o lvls even though I only joined around 2 months before o lvl bio paper 2. "are you an O lvl student feeling stuck in Bio?
i joined TBT only a few months before my o lvls last year. at the time, i had consistent Cs (or worse) in Bio since sec 3 and felt lost and unsure about how to study the subject effectively. even my teachers wanted me to drop the subject. however, with the help of Teacher Keefe's "student resources" folder and his teaching, i managed to improve from an E8 in prelims to an A2 in o lvls!
the folder contained a wealth of resources, including:
- subject notes;
- learning hacks;
- mock papers;
- commonly asked questions (aka CAQs);
- quick topic explanation videos; and moreee…i remember spending time studying most of the CAQs a few days before paper 2. altho it was intensive, they helped me confirm my concepts quickly, making me feel less worried and more confident about the actual paper.
in class, Teacher Keefe ensured that every student could keep up, addressing our doubts with simple and straightforward explanations. he also made learning fun, often starting classes with snacks and interesting soundtracks - like PvZ HAHAHA. i attended classes with school friends and new friends too, which made learning tgt more enjoyable. + whenever I had qns, I could freely text Teacher Keefe on WhatsApp, and he would promptly clarify my doubts.

"The first time I found out about TBT was when I started using their free notes for my revision and by then it was already months to prelims. I ended up joining TBT with my friends as a student who scored Bs and Cs in school for bio. After joining TBT, I started to become more motivated to study bio because of all the easy access to all the bio notes and flash cards etc. and as someone with short attention span, watching the crash course clips helped me a lot since I always struggled even with commonly asked questions. Over the course of only a few months, I managed to complete at least half of the topics for all the CAQs which had been one of the most helpful resources since a similar question came up in the olvls. The lessons were engaging and upon answering questions in class, I could get sweets or snacks and there would be drinks for everyone every lesson to keep us refreshed and focused. Mr Keefe is a really understanding teacher who tries to bring the best out in his students for bio and gives us great study tips and advice for preparing up til the very last day before Os! My favourite part of TBT is watching the video clips on ‘the day before’ exams because they always give me a thorough overview on key things to note during the exam and provides me with confidence right before going into the exam. For students who prefer the online lessons, there is also kahoot which makes the learning fun and Mr Melvin never fails to answer everyone’s questions even if it means staying back! The teachers at TBT are really supportive as even up till midnight the day before Os, they would still be replying to every students’ question in the group chat. Towards the end, we also received hardcopy notes of every chapter, CAQs and practical notes compiled in a book which was very handy apart from the soft copy versions which were my favourite to bring around everywhere. I scored a B3 for my Os which is an improvement from my usual grades despite joining TBT late in the year! After joining tbt I found that there were many easy tricks to master the subject. "Hi, my bio grade was just passing before joining TBT. I’d gotten a C6 during EOYs. I joined the TBT tuition in late March because I was quite desperate, I had problems memorizing facts and my written answers got me very little marks. After joining TBT, I had a much easier time understanding the facts because Mr Keefe had explained the concepts so we understood the facts better. I was able to write out answers and clearly with the needed keywords. With added help, i was able to get a B3 for O levels. I like that TBT had detailed notes and flash cards prepared with made referencing convenient. As an added bonus, Mr Keefe gave out sweets, biscuits and snacks during lesson which I appreciated.
My advice for juniors is definitely to ask questions. If you don’t want to ask questions in class, you can text your tutor/teacher privately. Remember it’s the teachers job to help and teach you! Also, aside from homework, try to find prelim papers online to try because it gets you adjusted to answering questions in exam condition and gets you familiar with the kind of questions that are used during exams.
Also a recommendation I got from Mr Keefe, is to do the TYS after prelims as prelims are usually harder. Thank you TBT!"

"I joined TBT in October 2024, just a month before O Levels. I went for the online Zoom lesson held by Mr Keefe. I know many parents and students might think that online tuition doesn’t work but I think it really depends on the student’s determination as well as the teacher’s ability to engage the students. For me, I think online tuition helps to save travelling time which is great because I can use that time to do my school homework. I actually came across TBT while I was sourcing for Bio notes and I watched a few of Mr Keefe’s videos on YouTube. I found him engaging and passionate about Bio, so me being very desperate at that point in time, I decided to join TBT. Before joining TBT, Bio was rather hard to understand and memorise. Because I’m a person who needs to understand a concept before I can remember them as I learn by breaking down complex issues into simpler ones. "I felt that online tuition would not benefit me, because it would be difficult to clarify my doubts (with the teacher) immediately. After joining, I realised I can use WhatsApp to ask questions, and if I see a question I really don't know, I can take a snapshot of it and send it to the teacher to ask about it, so it turned out to work very well.
I also like that our lessons are recorded… I can watch it many times if I want, and speed it up to 1.5x or 2x to save time. I like that classes are online, because travel time is a huge waste of time.
